Upcoming Winter Weather
Knowing what might happen is critical to Preparedness planning. Anticipated and likely events in our area most certainly include weather events like flooding, storms and winter freezes. Can you look at the clouds and tell what the weather will be? Do you understand the weather forecasts when they talk about high and low pressure areas or El Nino or La Nina?

Hurricane Helene and the flooding that followed has killed hundreds of people, with the death toll still growing, destroyed thousands of homes across five states, and left more than a million people without power and fresh water.
Preparedness Basics
September is National Preparedness Month. Stephen will talk about Preparedness basics as an introduction to Emergency Preparedness for those who want to get started, and as a refresher for those who may have lost focus, motivation or who have forgotten certain aspects of preparedness that are needed for a more complete self-reliance profile.
