Monthly Meetings

Hill Country Preppers meet the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the meeting room at Buzzie's Bar-B-Q.

Meet new people, greet those you know, bring a friend or family member.  New topics will be presented each month.

Their mission is to turn bystanders into responders by empowering people of all ages with the simple tools and training needed to act with skill and confidence in an emergency. They are featured on the November 5 showing of "Shark Tank".

La Tapatia's food truck serving dinner 5:00-6:00 pm

Emergency Preparedness involves a lot of different factors. Food, water, communications, and medical training are just a few. One that is often overlooked, is news about what is going on around you. Part of that news is politics, and is actually something you can influence through phone calls, emails, social media, and various political organizations, as well as the voter booth.

Examine Preparedness - July 4th Flood

September is National Preparedness Month. The July 4 Flood raised serious questions about the levels of preparedness and complacency of the residents and visitors on the river that day.

La Tapatia, new owners of Buzzie's building, is letting us continue to meet there for the immediate future. Even better - the La Tapatia food truck will cater our meeting this month. Jerry promised more variety in the menu.

While there are also questions regarding the emergency response, The responsibility for survival ultimately rests with the individual.
