Hill Country Preppers
Our Mission
To educate, inform and train our community to be prepared for natural and man-made emergencies and disasters, to be more self-reliant in the face of adversity, and to be a help to first responders and not a drain on limited disaster response and recovery resources.
" We provide a common sense approach to an uncertain future. "
My sister and I grew up during the Cold War of the 50’s and 60’s. As Air Force brats, the threat of Nuclear War, Civil Defense, duck and cover drills and events like the Cuban Missile Crisis and the assassinations of JFK, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King affected how we saw the world and prepared for adulthood.
Emergency Preparedness is in our blood. It makes sense to us on the most basic level. It isn’t about the End Of The World. It is about the tomorrow that follows what happens today. Why wouldn’t anyone want to take simple steps to prepare for the variety of accidents, crimes and natural disasters that affect thousands of Americans every single day?
We are a resource. Use us to educate and prepare yourselves
for an uncertain future.
“Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect.” - Margaret Mitchell
